Get Your Spy On
SOE just announced The Agency, a new spy MMO to be released next year on the PS3 and PC. Kotaku has a cool video up and Chris Remo wrote up his impressions on Shacknews.
The visual style of this game is great, and in a way reminds me of Valve's Team Fortress 2. Maybe not as intense and awesome, but still cool. 3rd person action with some light stealth is always great, and I'm really excited about an MMO succeeding on the consoles. It needs to happen.
Lastly, I greatly appreciate the change of scenery -- most MMOs are swords and fantasy and I'm sick of elves. SOE actually has a pretty good history of trying out different types of MMOs (Planetfall, Star Wars Galaxies), even if Everquest is still their bread and butter. Granted, those games have often failed, but...points awarded for effort.
Definitely one to watch, especially as an exclusive for the PS3.
